Besides the matches on Blood Sport and Extreme Rules ECW dvd releases, what were some of ECW’s Extreme matches?

In some of the ECW Extreme videos I have seen on youtube, I have seen some moves that are insane and arent put on any of the ECW dvd releases. Such as the one vid where bubba powerbombs spike through two stacked flaming tables. or the one where spike and the other guy jump from the wall, stage, entrance set whatever it was, onto to guys through tables. Why is this and why do we see some matches on the DVD’s where no one bleeds or no one gets weapons, and they leave out so many hardcore matches like this?

Maybe because Vince & company doesn’t want to give royalty money to Ian Rotten, Bubba Dudley, New Jack…..or maybe cause the matches were crap.

What is the difference between an overseas dvd release and one in the US?

Other than the obvious that one is released abroad and on in the us. If it says all region is that a guarantee it will work in my dvd player. I saw a golden girls boxed set on ebay and it says it is in overseas release. So I was wondering if all region means it will play in any dvd player.

Be careful. Not all "overseas" dvd’s work in US players. Look at the box carefully, or ask the seller for a guarantee that the dvd’s will play here.

How much space do Blu Ray movies take up on a BD disk?

I wanted to know exactly how big the movies are on the Blu Ray disks when you buy them?

I’m not talking about the actual size of the Blu Ray disks (Which the dual layered Blu Ray disks are 50 gigs I think) but the data on them.

Also, have the movies on the disks changed in size since the launch of the Blu Ray players in 2006. For example: comparing X-men 3 to Dark Knight in size.

Yes. The movie size is between 15-30 GB with some below that and some above that depending on bitrate and movie length. There aren’t too many movies that exceed 30GB because of problems with manufacturing process and a high number of jitter errors on the outer tracks on dual layer discs. Right now there are only two methods of making discs with two or more layers… the "peel and stick" and embossing methods.

X-Men 3 is about 21.5GB and Dark Knight is about 35GB with Dark Knight using a slightly higher bitrate.

I love this show. But the only DVDs I know of has only three episodes. That’s exactly the problem, I’m not wasting a lot of money for only three episodes. My father owns Disney Channel which I can watch any time, but still wanna own Quack Pack on DVD. My question is, are there any plans for future release of Quack Pack DVDs? I know it has 39 in total. Most often DVD boxes have 20 episodes in total. But what I really wanna know if Disney has any plans for this great TV show to be released on a DVD, with full seasons. And please don’t add comments like "Quack Pack sucks dude", because that’s not solution to my question.

Yes. The picture and sound quality may not be up to par, but as long as you have a Blu Ray player, you should be good to go.

Is it useless and pointless to write movie reviews in dvd releases?

Dvd movies are released in the market 4-6 months from the date of its theatrical release. 4 months is quite a long time. I have hundreds of dvds at home and I buy any latest dvd releases.

I’m planning to write reviews about movies hoping I could earn something from being a film critic. Not dvd movies, but the film alone. Dvd movie reviews seem so intricate for me. I don’t have special eyes and ears to give opinions on contrast, resolution, white balance, uncompressed hd sounds, notes, etc.

If I will make reviews about a film (from the dvds I bought) which is 4 months old already, do u think it’s already useless, pointless, and not helpful for readers?

Buying DVDs is a good thing as long as you have the means to do so. However, building up a critique is and can be an ongoing thing. That is to say, what kind of audience are you trying to reach here? Is it just for you or the masses? What length of review are you thinking of doing?
Some dvd movies already have reviews on them. Like the back sleeve of any book..you know what’s on the inside.
What information would you like to share? Maybe its best to set up a club of sorts for movie fans to borrow DVDs based upon your own reviews?
Sharing information is one thing..keeping it up to date is another…a full time job seeing so many releases.
The information you want to share should be compact..and correct.

I don’t think that it’s a pointless task at all. I think it’s merely a task of gathering the data you want to share and dealing only with that. Get one right, the rest will follow suit.

Will Flatmii be a good alternative since I recently broke my DVD drive for the wii?

My wii fell and my dvd drive doesnt accept wii games anymore, so my question is does the flatmii work for loading wii iso’s without the use of a dvd drive? I know that is what this is supposed to do, but is this legit? How hard is this to do, i know i have to take it apart but is this a simple procedure? Thanks a lot for your help.

Yes, it will work. It doesn’t require the use of your wii DVD drive whatsoever. However, you can configure it to enable you to still use your DVD drive if you choose. You can configure it either to use or not to use your wii dvd drive-your choice. You MUST use your PC with this device via usb connection. The flatwii does not read discs. It is basically an emulator for iso’s streaming from your computer. The install still requires you to disassemble your wii. That’s the hardest part. You have to hook up a wire or two and a ribbon. Far easier than soldering or dealing with epoxy on the new wii’s. There is no soldering or clips required. Youtube will show you how to do an install. flatmii.com has an install guide and faq’s. Its legit-but hasn’t been released just yet. You can place your preorders though. Should be out by around mid January. Check out flatmii.com for site where you can buy it.

I Disagree With The Morrison DVD He Has Had Some Pretty Good Matches With MnM V.s The Hardy’s So I Think There Will Be Some Good Matches In A Morrison DVD And I Would Like To See A Elimination Chamber One Those Are Always Nice Matches But With Punk I Agree With Unless They Get Some Other Footage Not From WWE In The DVD.

Is it pointless to buy a Blu Ray player if you don’t have a high def television set?

We own a gigantic Mitsubishi projection big screen tv that is 8 years old and still works great. Will we still get all the benefits of Blu Ray without having an HD tv?

I’m going to go against everyone here and here’s my logic.

If your TV can connect to the blu ray player (with blu ray set to output 480p) I’m guessing your TV has at least component input, then I would go for the blu ray, here’s why. You’ll build your blu ray library whenever you do buy something and don’t rent it.

You’ll stop buying DVDs that are on the way out. When you do get a true HDTV and you will because they are getting cheaper every month, you’ll already have your blu ray/DVD player and a nice little blu ray library. With more and more blu ray titles of older movies coming in at 10 bucks at Walmart and even a few at Target, why not upgrade now?

So while it might seem pointless today, it makes sense tomorrow.
