My son has an in car dvd player with two screens. He has never used it, cos he cant be bothered to set it up, I dont know what cable joins the two screens together. I get one screen working, but am unsure of what cable to use. Please help me someone…

in the box there should have been a yellow cable ( video ). plug one end into the OUTPUT of the main unit, plug the other into the INPUT of the other. As both users will have headphones ( sound ) all you need is this cable

i am about to purchase an in-car dvd player with all the mp3, bluetooth added extras. it comes with instructions, but in general, are they easy to fit? im not an expert or anything but how easy is it? or should i get some one to do it for me?

pretty straight forward in most modern cars. you must buy a wiring harness (this connects your new head unit to your car without the need to cut or join any wires yourself. when you buy your dvd player make sure you can actually get a harness for your make and model off car. then basically remove your old stereo and connectors and replace with new one.providing the new stereo is same dimmensions as old one it should fit reasonably well. if not you might have to buy a spacer to fill in the gap left by old head unit. just have a go..if you struggle with anything just take it to a local car audio shop. depending on where your buying the new unit from(shop) alot of them fit for free anyway

No car dvd players will come from the factory able to play while the car is in motion. There are ways to bypass that safety feature. I am a huge fan of Pioneer in general. I’ve never had an in dash dvd player but I have had the pioneer headunit i have now for five years and its still going strong. I don’t know much about alpine. I think the Kenwood dvd players look cool. They are a bit more expensive though.
