Does anyone know if the bypass for the DDX514 is the same as the other Kenwood car DVD players?

I’ve read where the DDX512 (model before the DDX514) allowed DVD’s to be played by grounding the parking brake wire. Curious if anyone knows if the DDX514 can be wired the same way…

i have been searching for the same thing except for the DDX512, i am hearing its the same for all kenwoods but not sure

what you just ground the wire thats suppose to go to the parking brake wire??

hi dave you probably have a dirty lens or a lens fault. if your like me and have discs scattered all over the car they collect fine fibres and dust up which adds to the problem of static when the unit sometimes comes to life. You could try buying a lens cleaner with the micro bristles on but i choose personally to take mine out remove the cover and clean with a small cotton bud which i dip in a cap of smirnoff vodka or rum. If that doesnt work the lens may be shot as ive been told they can burn out over years of use. Sorry if this aint no help, but its all i know

I have a 2006 Nissan Armada with a DVD player and TV. The DVD player has the white red and yellow plugs to hook up a video game system. I also have the elctricital plug that I can use. put i need to know how do I get the gamecube to play from connecting it to the DVD player. like do i need to have a DVD on the player and then turn it on or should htere be no dvd in it when i turn it on. please help

1. You hook up the gamecube to the TV, not to the DVD.

The game cube has White,Red and Yellow plugs. Connect the three plugs to your TV’s. When you turn on the gamecube with a game inside, gamecube sends video and audio signals to the TV’s.

2. If you have a portable dvd player with a built-in screen, your DVD/screen player has to have three input plugs (white/red/yellow) where you will plug Gamecube’s cables to them. Usually there is a buton to switch on to use the external video sources (from Gamecube, for example) and turn it off to play regular DVD. In this case, you don’t need to have a DVD disk in the DVD to play the game cube.

it doesn’t play any dvd’s prerecorded and recorded by me personally. i have changed the settings several times but still the same. it just says "loading disc……" then says no disc
it plays audio Cds fine , but it should play dvds it IS A DVD PLAYER.

Does it say DVD-R player??Or just CD-R player??It probably does’nt play DVD’s that are burned to a disc just CD’s that are burned:) It should say DVD-R PLAYER also read the box or the manual.

the type of system you are referring to is a split load.

when the engine is running both batteries are charged.

all of your goodies (XBOX) ect should be connected to the second battery.

when the engine is off the two batteries are separated from each other so that you can draw power without draining your main battery which is used for starting.

to find out whats best go to a caravan shop or tow-bar place as this is a typical set up on a caravan.

how do you run a sub off a in car dvd player?

iv just brought a car dvd player without realising that i cant run my sub off it as theres no where to connect the RCA cable, would tehre be any other way to connect them?

You can wire a high-to-low signal convertor to your speaker outputs of your car stereo, if it has no sub-out and send this signal to the sub amplifier via rca leads.

We are looking into getting a DVD system in the minivan and I think I have heard recently that you can somehow watch tv in the car. Is there a satellite service or something you can subscribe to?

With a service like mine you can watch live TV shows on computer. Also you can write them to DVD & play it in your car.
