Most PC parts are interchangeable. All you have to do is swap em and you are good to go. Start the computer and it will do the rest. Just make sure both your computers are turned off and unplugged before you try to take it out.

A lot of times Chinese products are cheap knock offs when you buy them on ebay. Check the sellers rating even then I wouldn’t really trust it. I bought a "name brand" memory card from China before and it came in and it was bootleg and froze after taking a few pictures, I later read their feedback and that seller had a habit of that. Next when I tried contacting them they were gone from eBay.

So the price may be tempting but I wouldn’t risk it.

Amazon has some good deals on in dash dvd players and you don’t have to worry about them scamming you

If it’s a Blu-ray file you just burn it. If it’s a different file type, you need a conversion program from that type to the type you need. Which one depends on what the file type is. (I assume that you’ve gotten the video file out of the rar or zip.)

No, you didn’t ruin it. dvd players are strictly read-only, meaning that they will not rewrite or damage anything on the disc under any circumstances, unless the DVD player catches on fire or spits the DVD across the room, shattering it against the wall (which will almost NEVER happen, mind you!). The "waves of color" are just part of the reflection from the disc. In short, if you put a Blu-ray DVD into a standard DVD player, absolutely NOTHING will happen.

in the box there should have been a yellow cable ( video ). plug one end into the OUTPUT of the main unit, plug the other into the INPUT of the other. As both users will have headphones ( sound ) all you need is this cable
